Ideally, FBCL volunteers will come alongside visiting mission teams, throughout the summer, and work together in this “Kingdom work.” Please prayerfully consider how you might be a part of this team and the others coming this summer. If you're available to help out, even for just a few hours this week, please speak to the Pastor today during Coffee Fellowship.
![]() Our Youth Group, under the leadership of Associate Pastor of Youth "Coach" Mike LaFave (and with the help of Youth leadership team including Doug Kewer and Sue Duty and other Youth Workers), is now underway and moving forward. The first Wednesday night Youth Group Meeting took place on May 28th in the newly remodled Youth Room. ![]() The Youth Room is now officially "The Green Room." The name is perfect not only because of the color of the room... GREEN, but also for another even more important reason. If you'd like to find out more about the "Green Room," come and ask someone in the Youth Group. ![]() The Youth Group has also officially named themselves as SHINE. This name is taken from the Youth Groups theme verse, Philippians 2:15-16, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe 16 as you hold out the word of life - in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing. SHINE meets every Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. There is a time of worship and praise, as well as, plenty of time to just hang out. Low cost snacks are available. Youth in grades 6-12 are invited and encouraged to attend. For more information stop by or call the Church Office (410-242-7730) and ask for "Coach" Mike. Check back soon for a "Photo" section. |

![]() On Thursday evening, June 26th FBCL was privileged to host a Youth Choir (70 members strong with orchestra) from FBC Richardson, TX. The Youth Choir had been in Baltimore as part of the Embrace Baltimore partnership. During the week they helped strengthen Baltimore Churches through VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, work projects and Concerts. ![]() FBCL had a last minute opportunity to host them, for this concert, on thier last night in Baltimore and jumped at the chance. Over one hundred people (FBCL members and guests) attended the concert and received an awesome blessing from the ministry of both "missions minded Churches." After the concert we all had an excellent time of fellowship. ![]() Thanks to FBC Richardson, TX, the Youth Choir and thier leaders, and Associate Pastor of Music and Worship, Andy Swanner for a real blessing. Special thanks to Embrace Baltimore, for putting together this last minute opportunity.

Membership in the local church is both a privilege and a responsibility. Understanding our rights and responsibilities is critical for every church member but especially for those new to our fellowship. On Friday, July 18th, Bill Stivers, Associate Pastor will be leading the “Focus Your Faith” seminar from 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. for members and/or for those who might be considering membership (dinner is included - sign up required). This seminar is designed to help you better understand what it means to be a Christian, a Baptist and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lansdowne. All new members are encouraged to attend however this seminar is also open to “not so new members” who would like to better understand membership in our fellowship. Please sign up in the lobby if you plan on attending. For further info please see Bill Stivers, Associate Pastor.
Our Summer Bowling League has begun but it's never too late to join in on the fun. Our goal is to have fun and fellowship together, in a league that bowls with Christian principles in mind. We agree to keep our league “alcohol free” and conduct ourselves in Christian manner. If you’re looking for a bowling league that focuses more on fun than competition, where “gutter balls” can happen without the need for embarrassment, and where you can simply relax and enjoy an evening of great Christian fellowship... then COME JOIN US (ADULTS – 18 & OVER – ONLY). For more information please call the Church office @ 410-242-7730. |
